Weekly Photo Challenge: In The Background

All of the above pictures are taken in the National Museum of Indonesia.

The first picture is my brother taking our pictures with some of the museum’s statue collection in the background. The second picture is also of some of the museum’s statue collection. The background of the last picture is the collection of the traditional Javanese dagger, known as keris (or “kris” in wikipedia).

In this museum there’s the Ethnography Room, and lots more. We can find the ethnography collection of Indonesia’s Culture from Sabang (the westernmost point of Indonesia) to Merauke (the easternmost point of Indonesia).

If you happen to be in Jakarta, Indonesia, you should visit this museum. It is located in Jalan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta.
