It is the holy month of Ramadhan… Usually many people concentrate on the muslim rituals, like fasting, prayers, reading Qur’an, etc.. To me and my family, last minute shopping is never a priority.. We’ve done our holiday shopping way before the month of Ramadhan..
In the picture above is my Mom.. We shopped at International Trade Center (ITC) Cipulir, South Jakarta. The average price isn’t very high… People can get a piece of clothing for about 3 bucks only..
What I know about the garment industry, Indonesia can produce large amount of clothings that are shipped abroad, to many countries. Once, my Mom and Dad found a “made in Indonesia” T-shirt in one department store in USA.. I don’t know if any of my blog readers ever found those “made in Indonesia” things in international markets. But I believe that Indonesia has the ability to produce high quality goods..
My daughter never like this shopping activity.. Hehehe.. She always got bored.. Look at that frowny face.. Just like I used to be when I was a kid, everytime my Mom take me shopping.. ^_^
I love nostalgic images. That’s why I like taking snapshots. It’s my way to preserve my memories. I wish I had my photos back when I was a child. Every school holiday I go stay at my Grandma’s house, and wherever I go, I would use becak as my mode of transportation.
In Jakarta, my city, becak is becoming very rare. The above image is me, my daughter and my aunt riding a becak in Jogjakarta. The photo above is taken by my Father. Well, I think this photo challenge’s credit goes to my Father then. 😀
Today, my Grandma had passed away. But the memory of her is still in my mind. I can’t help showing off this photo, because it reminds me so much of my childhood, and my Grandma. So wonderful memories.
I’m a single parent and I go everywhere (except to my work place) with my daughter. She’s a cheerful child and she always makes me laugh whenever I’m down. In simple words, she’s my everything.. And everything I do, I do it for her..
I have a dream to travel the world, and she’ll be my one and only companion if my dream comes true.. Insya Allah..
I took this picture at Istana Maimoon (Maimoon Palace) in Medan, North Sumatra. This isn’t a very good picture, because inside the palace the lighting is very dim and I’m still learning to take good photo shoots in poorly lit places. 🙂
Anyway, the Maimoon Palace is one tourist destination in Medan, eventhough the place is small for a palace. But to me, the unique architecture and design makes the palace attractive enough to visit.
